How is the Krav Maga offer different than their $20 intro offer?

This is Sarah with Groupon. You may redeem this Groupon at both KMDC locations – their main training center and the DC JCC at 16th & Q a few nights each week.

This is a better deal than the standard intro offer for several reasons.
- there are 3 classes, instead of 2
- the classes are not limited to introductory classes – so if you have some experience with Krav Maga you can jump ahead a level or two
- you may also chose to take 3 of their Monkey Bar Gym/Strike classes instead, a new addition the the program that is not included with the intro offer
- this price is $1 less :)

On their website, they offer an intro package which consists of one orientation session and two basics beginner classes for $20. What is the difference of this $19 package compared to the intro/orientation package or can this package be used without the intro package?

Hi Sarah. Interesting class and I’d like to go, but how is this offer saving me 68%? Not to be pickey, but GROUPON should be used for getting a better deal. Like the Kayak offer is really 1/2 off.

EB – I’m working on getting an answer for you. I assume that you would be able to go to an orientation session, but I’ll figure out exactly what that entails and how/when you can sign up for that. Stay tuned.

Christopher – Thanks for your feedback. The drop in class rate at KMDC is $20, so that is where the $60 value comes from. Because this offer is far more flexible than the introductory special, we do feel like it is a good deal.

Thanks Sarah, you rock! The intro offer on their website is for an orientation session + 2 classes, which sounds pretty close if not identical to today’s Groupon. Unless it’s an orientation + 3 classes (which seems to me to only be a 33% savings) it sort of seems like Krav Maga pulled a fast one!

My crew wants to jump on this, am I reading correctly that we have until

If you are new to Monkey Bar Gym or Krav Mega then you are literally obligated to purchase the $19 intro/orientation + basics package. It just doesn’t make sense for a new student to take the classes first w/o an orientation.

AW…now I agree. So this is not really a GROUPON deal. Where’s the advantage???

Every new KMDC student will receive an orientation session – so it is definitely included in today’s Groupon offer. The orientation is not a class, it is an explanation of Krav Maga, how the class works and some time to fill out the paperwork required to get you started.

If you are a beginner to Krav Maga and not interested in monkey bar gym, the Groupon offer still gets you an entire extra class, making the per class price $6.33 as opposed to $10, which is a 37% discount. I do understand that some of you may not find this as compelling as our other offers, but luckily we feature something different every day (M-F) and will have more deals for you next week. :)

Hi there, I’m having trouble registering for a class. I called them and they told me to register on their website, but there is no place on the website to register! I called them back but they did not help at all.

QUESTION: I purchased 2 of these groupons, hoping to use them for 6 classes. Can you confirm that the 2 groupons can be used for 6 classes for the same person?
