Questions and Answers

Ian,
The Groupon today is only for the Chicago location, sorry.

Groupon says one per table. Is there a limit on how many you can buy (and use at different times?)

Jennifer,
Yes, you can buy more than one Groupon and use on different visits.

So if i get 2x groupons, and I go in next week spend $60, with 1 groupon, i pay 1x groupon + $10? and a few weeks later, I go in and spend $45, I pay with my 2nd groupon? or if I spend $100, i just use 2 groupons?
Is above how it works?

I’m pretty sure you can only use one groupon per visit, i.e. “1 per table”
do you have to use it under your name or can you give it to someone else to use. in other words do you have to show id to match the name on the printed groupon paper.
Hi Sharon. Did anyone answer your question? I was wondering because I just bought four tickets for the paintball session for my kids. It never occurred to me that they wouldn’t be able to use them if I bought them.

Sushi goooood!
Sashimi gooood!
Mmmmm… wasabi!
Miss Chun…. Only ONE Groupon per visit!

I know it says good for carry-out, but do they do delivery? To Evanston? Thanks, sounds good!
Nice Groupon – but wondering about the text today. I know it’s meant in a joking manner, but why is “Woodrow Wilson” mentioned as an imaginary character? Just wondering, as he’s actually one of my ancestors/relatives (seriously).

Jeannie, you can only use one Groupon per visit, sorry.
Olga, regarding you CPX Sports Groupons, you can use all 4 at the same time.
Stephanie, todays Groupon is not valid for delivery, sorry.
Hope this helps,
Bob from Groupon
If two of us are doing pick up can we use two groupons if they are on separate tickets?
Is there a limited menu for the groupon, or can you order anything on their menu?
Hi Adam,
That’s pretty cool that you’re related to President Wilson. We know he’s real, we just like throwing in a little bit of nonsense sometimes for fun. We’re not trying to make him disappear from old photographs or anything sinister like that. Thanks for reading and for the feedback…
Sincerely,

Hey Adam,
I think it’s cool that you got to work being related to WW into a conversation!
Rock On.
If I buy grupon today, will I receive it by Wednesday 11/11/09?

Dusan – not only is the answer to your question “yes,” but furthermore, you will also receive it by Tuesday 11/10/09.
Hope that helps!
Andrew
Hey. Groupon. Can I make a tiny recommendation?
Can you guys make the groupon printout a bit tiny? Like a credit card size, maybe?
I want cheap, but not so eager to be seen as cheap.
It is really el cheapo to yank out an A4 print out when you try to pay at a restaurant.
Thanks guys/gals.
Is there a way to know on a given Groupon deal what are the minimum number of purchases required for the deal to be valid?
I do not see any fine print excluding liquor, so the $25 is simply off my total bill??
Hey S.C.
I feel you…LOVE the suggestion…“El Cheapo & the A4 print out”
Ohh.. BTW, while you are at it. Throw in a some glitter or a big designer G or something.
You know, go with the flow. Cheap and chic is the chic.
Hey..just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone is interested. I bought a 75$ groupon to zealous awhile back for 35$…I wont be able to make it by Dec 1st which is when it expires…would anyone be interested in it? zealousrestaurant.com
this only includes sushi orders? or would it include sashimis?i believe the entrees are not going to be included but please correct me if im wrong
I previously purchased multiple groupons to one venue. How do i tell now which groupons have been used?
Or does the restaurant varify on spot if the number is valid?
Jennifer, when you see “The deal is on!”, then the deal is valid.
Mike, Kyoto is BYOB.
Stefanie, it includes everything on the menu (sushi, sashimis, hot & cold entrees, appertizers, etc.).
Thanks. I meant at the beginning of a “Groupon” countdown. Say I am participant #5, does it show how many are required for “The deal to be ON!”?:)))
Is this the Sushi restaurant located at 2534 N. Lincoln Ave. Chicago, IL 60614?
sorry im new at this groupon thing:)
sorry im new at this groupon thing:)
Tommy, yes it’s located at 2534 N. Lincoln Ave. Chicago, IL 60614 773-477-2788.
Jennifer, it’s used to say (as I recalled) but I guess not anymore.
Could’ve sworn that Kyoto used to have a liquor license, but perhaps I’m incorrect. I’d also agree that A4 print size is too big.

Elina… I’m pretty sure that the restaurant calls in the number when you use it.
I just make sure that I use them in order i.e. the last digit will be 1-2-3 etc.
Wow… Adam’s relative invented INCOME TAX!!!
Adam… I wouldn’t brag about that on or around April 15th…LOL

Oh… and by the way… it says that Gatsby is made up…not Wilson.
“…a hunger-disappearer that would sate even a made-up person like Gatsby or Woodrow Wilson. "
Note…it says made up ‘person’ NOT ‘people’ …. so the phrase: “made-up person”, refers to Gatsby.

Loved that it was BYOB but they were not prepared for the restaurant to be packed. One person was taking orders while the other was serving. Took 3 hours to have a sushi dinner for 2 people, outrageous! And the spicy tuna rolls were lacking the tuna part. We were thinking they were skimping on the fish becuase they didnt have enough to feed everyone in the restaurant. Another couple waited 45 minutes for their reservation, I would have left if I was them. Won’t be going back to Kyoto, even with a Groupon, I won’t go back.
I had a reservation there and sad to say, there definitely not prepared. I didnt get to sit down at all even though I called twice the same day of the reservation to confirm. Sad, because the sushi/maki was decent. I may order there for take out if I am in the area, but would never go there for a date night out time out with the girls. :((
I had no problem either time I went there, but I went rather early both times. Food was great, but again, the restaurant was rather empty.
I have eaten there 3 times so far with the groupon and each time was fantastic! sat night is definitely not the time to go if you want to relax and have a quiet dinner. it was hopping and fun but a little too much for my 3 1/2 year old. the other times we have gone have been earlier and the staff has been so attentive and accomodating. the food is excellent and the red bean moshi – to die for!!! groupon or not, we are headed back again soon!!

I have used my groupon and have been back 4 times since. This is a great sushi place. I recently moved from the neighborhood and have been making trips back just for Kyoto. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar. The Chefs are great and very creative if you are looking for something off menu.

Will the Groupon be valid for the Kyoto branch on Butterfield in Downers Grove ?
