Even though water covers most of the earth's surface, humans spend most of their lives on land and a small portion in the air while they’re sleeping. Float on with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $25 for a half-day paddleboard rental (a $50 value)
- $15 for a 90-minute paddleboard lesson and tour (a $30 value)
A standup-paddleboard rental allows for four hours of floating on the lake. Alternatively, a 30-minute lesson—which only admits up to six people—covers a brief, 15-minute tutorial on how to balance on the paddleboard, then segues into a 60-minute 1.5-mile tour. Lessons are offerd at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Dells Watersports, a boating haven founded in 1979 by Steve and Kathy Zowin, creates adventures aboard its high-speed and leisurely paced watercraft. Atop the waters of Lake Delton, inflatable tubes bounce over waves as they’re pulled by rental ski boats, and rental waverunners heed the stop signs held up by mermaids. Taking more leisurely trips, kayaks and canoes carry groups on scenic floats by sandstone bluffs, white pine trees, and the Timme Mill dam. Back on shore, staff members man a full-service marina department stocked with boating equipment. Dells Watersports also maintains sister facilities for watercraft rental at Mirror Lake, Castle Rock Lake, and inside all the world's fishbowls.
