Limited to 30 students, the three-hour digital-camera basics workshop examines the manual settings of DSLR cameras. Instructor Larry Hanna teaches pupils the ins and outs of shutter speed, f-stops, and ISO, as well as crucial composition tips. He also runs through lessons on metering, focus, and shooting modes, making sure students know when to trust their cameras' automatic settings and when to make their own executive decisions. Morning and afternoon sessions are available on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; students must provide their own digital SLR camera with manual settings.
