Brunch connects breakfast with lunch in the same way swim lessons connect homesick Pangaeans with their shattered continent. Feast on the fusion of two meals with today's Groupon: for $8, you get $16 worth of breakfast and lunch fare at Le Peep in Bedford.

Le Peep curbs morning and afternoon appetites with a menu of specialty egg dishes, battered creations, and sandwiches. For breakfast, the kitchen staff karate-chops eggshells, pours the egg into a skillet, and hurdles bits of ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese into The Sink omelet ($9.25). Warm syrup spills onto platefuls of griddlecakes, which are mixed with ingredients such as chocolate chips ($6.05) or granola and almonds ($6.15) and, like desks in a structural-engineers' office, are stacked two-high.

Eaters can stagger forkfuls of hearty chow with sips of orange juice ($2.35) or bites from the breakfast banana split, which floods palates with a wave of berries, strawberry yogurt, and granola ($5.75). For noontime nourishment, guests can devour the patty-melt burger's swiss cheese and grilled onions piled on grilled rye bread ($7.19) or pluck pieces of chicken, celery, and red grapes sprouting from the chicken-salad salad ($8.25).

Le Peep

A fresh pot of coffee steams on each table at Le Peep, whose diner-style breakfasts and lunches have been hitting tables across the country since the first shop opened nearly 50 years ago. The kitchen staff dips slices of sourdough vienna bread in french custard batter for the signature french toast and transforms fresh eggs into omelets and casserole-style scrambled-egg dishes. Diners can also feast on plates of piping hot chocolate-chip griddlecakes or belgian waffles buried under a heap of dutch apples. Pitas, hoagies, and melts counterbalance breakfasts, as do burgers such as the bacon cheeseburger and the breakfast burger, a morning-style bacon cheeseburger topped with a fried egg and garnished with a picture of a sunrise.
