is the prix fixe lunch and dinner weekend good for weekends?
meant to ask if it can be used on the weekends (prix fixe lunch or dinner?)
From the comments on Yelp, it seems that the restaurant’s servers do like younger people and service is very poor, which seems mismatched with Groupon’s users. Has the restaurant done anything to improve the attitude of their staff towards younger patrons?
doesn’t say when you have to use the credit by does it? Expiration date?

I’ve been to Le Perigord many times (in interests of full diclosure, used to do their PR) and in fact there did used to be one waiter who could be a bit testy with anyone, young or mature. And, yes, likely more so with the former. Mercifully he has retired and I assure you a warm welcome is in store for one and all by the most charming host proprietor in town, Georges Briguet. The beef Wellington and the turbot are knock outs.

We plan to visit this restaurant on a friday for early dinner…I assume the coupon comes for $75 and we just use that towards our purchase correct? We are coming from Colorado for my daughter who is in the Macy’s parade…any locals with good parade viewing advice or other groupon deals we should try while we are there? lol…

On the Le Perigord website, go to ‘Specials’ and then at the top of that page there is a list of Menu’s. Click Lunch or Dinner Prix Fixe. You may use the voucher for everything on the menu. The Wine appears to be sold by the Bottle or Half Bottle.

So we can use the voucher for the early dinner prix fixe even though on the le perigord website, it says that the early dinner and sunday specials “cannot be combined with any other offer, coupon, or discount program”?

Actually, you are correct. The early dinner and Sunday Specials page will not be included in this offer. Lunch or regular dinner Prix Fixe is fine.

This seems fun. However, it says 1 per table only. Does that mean even if two friends bought a groupon each, and dine together, they can only use one groupon total towards the bill? (What if they get separate bills?)

I actually dined here a few years ago and experienced the absolute worst service one could imagine as young diner. In hosting a small family dinner, of which my father was in attendance, the waiter could not have been more unpleasant. The culmination of the evening came at the end of the meal where our server found I would paying the bill with my Mastercard. As I handed him the card and he informed me he was sure it would be declined and continued to motion to my father for some sort of payment method. Lo and behold, after no more than 30 seconds, the waiter was back, and told me it didn’t go through. I insisted he try again and he claimed results were the same. This cat and mouse game ended with me leaving the restaurant, finding the nearest ATM and taking out the appropriate amount of cash…with the very same card! I caution anyone thinking of going here: the food is not worth the elitist attitudes and subpar service.
I went there last night with 3 other people. There was no choice it was prix fix at $65 per person,wine was $54 , coffee $3 each extra.
With the $75 off i feel I still paid twice what it was worth. The food while good was nothing special and not worth the price.
What are the ‘lunch’ hours? I bought these for an ealy dinner use and it appears now that I cannot use them for that…very frustrating that this was not disclosed up front…
Yeah—glad I came back to this comments board. Just made dinner reservation here and will now cancel and reschedule for lunch if this groupon can be used for lunch instead (assuming there is no a’la carte dinner). Can somebody from groupon please let us know if we can use this for lunch?

I called the restaurant.
They told me that the voucher can be used with a minimum
purchase of two $65 price fix dinners.
This is completely different than how the deal was described.
Can I get a refund ?
The manager of the restaurant asked that
Groupon call him to discuss the deal.
I would like a refund if we can’t use it for lunch, too!

I was told by the hostess that I could not use the Groupon for Lunch, too. Then I asked to talk to the manager and he allowed me to use my Groupon, for Lunch, for my entire bill (up value cost). The groupon does NOT cover tips, but I tipped generously because the gentlemen servers were very nice. Lunch starts at 12pm and it’s pretty empty at that time.
So can someone from Groupon confirm that I can use the Groupon for lunch? It was not described as “dinner only” in the original description, so if that is the case and I can’t use it for lunch, I’d also like a refund.

I am so sad. I bought the Groupon as a surprise dinner for our first night in NY on Nov 20. We were just there for the Macys Parade (my daughter was a jump roper). Our flight was cancelled leaving Denver on the 20th so we didn’t make it to the restaurant. I do not know if this is allowed but I have the Groupon that I would like to sell to someone that can use it. I was looking forward to that dinner so much, you can see from earlier posts from me. I am legit and I just hate to lose that money and would love for someone to take advantage. Sorry, if this isn’t allowed, it was just an idea.

I just called the restaurant to inquire about a dinner reservation, and I was told that “the groupon may only be used for the prix fixe dinner menu at $65 per person”. I asked why this was the case, and the gentleman explained that, “If we allowed people to order off of the a la carte menu it could be possible for them to not have to spend any money.” I then asked what was the purpose of the Groupon. He explained, “The purpose is to get people inside the restaurant where they will spend money.” Wow. I’m avid Groupon user and this seems really out of line. Good old bait and switch! He did say that the Groupon could be used for lunch at $32 per person, so that’s when I’ll go, but it would have been nice to use the Groupon as advertised.
