Arianna is correct (thanks for helping out!)! You can use our new “Buy it for a Friend” option to gift this Groupon to family and friends. However, if you also buy it for yourself, you must use all three sittings, you cannot gift those out.

I am wondering if the DVD of enhanced photo’s can be used to print our own? Basically do we get the copyright to those picture?

Do you know if the sessions can be used with different kids, for instance i have jayden, hunter and natalie… can they each have one of the three or no?

You want it purchased today and we have until 12/4/11 to have 3 photo sessions with the photographer, which can be on-location spots- any guidelines for the location choices?
We will get only 1 DVD with the 30 best shots, but 3 5×7′s?
Are we able to reprint photos from the session as we please, at a photo print place (Target, Walgreens, etc)??

you get a DVD with a slideshow on it.. not individual poses from what I understand.

The DVD is like a movie slideshow, so you won’t be able to print the photos off. You will receive one 5×7 of your choice from each shoot. You can also purchase digital prints for an additional charge.

Tonee, yes, each session can be for a different family member. For example, one session could be the children and their parents, and then next session could be when the grandparents are in town, or each session could be a different child. Or you could use it for a newborn, and capture his or her growth over the next two years with three separate sessions!

while a slideshow is fun, photos you can print are more practical for frames in your home, or to give as gifts. So the $69 get you a slideshow and 3 5×7′s really.

The DVD is actually a slideshow video that you receive at the completion of your last session and can include photos from all three sessions. As this is a video and not a CD with full resolution digital files on it, you will not be able to print photos from it. If you would like the digital negative with copyright release, so you OWN the rights to a particular photo and may do whatever you please with it, then you can purchase the individual file for $95 an image (or $45 if you have already bought a print of that image)

Hi Tonee,

If you are talking about your 3 little kids (i.e. they live with you) then absolutely ! You can do a family shoot and get pics of everyone and all three kids individually. If they are grown kids and have families of their own, then each FAMILY must use all 3 sessions. But little kids, no worries !

Examples of print prices would be:

4 × 6 =$35 ($25 for additional prints of same image)
5 × 7 =$45 ($35 for additional prints of same image)
8 × 10 = $60 ($50 for additional prints of same image)
wallets are 8 (of the same) for $35
I also have do wall size portraits as well

My kids are little all under 10… thanks

I do digital scrapbooking and would want to do a book with all the photo sessions rather than have a few prints for the wall. Do you have a special price to get large quantities of digital prints on cd or is it just a straight $95 per image no matter how many? I would pay $300 for each session cd, but I wouldn’t even do the sessions if it means I can only get 3 photos plus the free one for the same price.

I have purchased the coupon half an hour ago and has not received it through the e-mail. Is this right? Has any one received the coupon by e-mail?

I use a 21 Megapixel camera and therefore I can print as big as you like. Some larger print prices are:

11 × 14 = $195
16 × 20 = $325
20 × 24 = $495
and on up

All my prints are printed at one of the best labs in the country, they do fantastic work and all prints are on Fuji Archival paper with archival inks and sprayed with a UV coating to further protect them. They are truly impressive, particularly at the larger sizes.

Wow, 94% off! This is an AMAZING deal!!
One question though…I noticed 150 people already purchased the Groupon, which theoretically means 450 photo shoots in 1 year. I can’t imagine that these groupons are your only photo shoots all year..so are you always the photographer or do you have other photographers that help with the sessions?

I bought a groupon similiar to this one from another photographer. You seem to have a better deal since you are giving 3 sessions. My question is that I would prefer getting a cd with copyrights to the whole session. Do you have package deals to receive no prints and all of the Jpegs instead? The other photographer gives the entire session and copyright for $350 which is a maximum amount of money for me and I’ve had a photographer do the same for $100. I looked on your website and didn’t see prices or any options to have a cd. I will buy the sessions if this is an option, otherwise I know you will take so many great photos I won’t be able to choose and I can’t afford to buy them all individually.

To recap your info regarding the prints and DVD:

1) – If I understand correctly, we receive three different 5×7 prints, and the one DVD. No prints can be made from the DVD.

2) For each of the three 5×7 photos that we’d like to own with full usage rights, it will cost an additional $45. If we select a different photograph, it willl be $95.

3) We can buy additional prints of three 5×7 prints for $35. Different sizes are different prices.

4) What is the cost for duplicating the original DVD or usage rights. I want to put the DVD on my website. I’m an artist.

5) May we bring some of our own props for the photo sessions, e.g., some painting materials for my pictures.

P.S. For three 5×7 different prints & the DVD, this is a good value.

you can buy more than one package but whomever you buy the package for has to use all three sessions for their family. You wouldn’t be able to purchase one package and use one session for your son’s family and one for your neighbor’s family etc

No I have a 5yr old boy and 3 yr old girl so I was going to do one package for each and maybe one of each of their sittings have me and my husband as well. I wouldn’t be buying them as a gift but for myself.

oh, no problem, you may have whomever you like (i.e. everyone in your family as well as individuals) for each session. So you would just need one package.

Would you be able to do Engagement photos? My boyfriend and I are planning on getting engaged this Spring, and I’d love to get this for us and get a session done during the Spring, one in the winter, and one with our families – is that possible? I don’t want to be presumptuous, but may I also email you to inquire about the price for a CD of jpeg images? I’m a teacher and I’d love to be able to show my kids all the photos that are taken, as well as extended family who won’t make it out for engagement parties, etc – facebook, typically to show off your work and our engagement!

The “Grow With Me” package advertised on the website, featuring 5 sittings (two extra than this deal) over the course of 2 years as well as the DVD Slideshow, is priced at $425. Granted, it doesnt include the 5×7′s, but even that would only bring it to $560. And even if you added on the price of the DVD, were it not “free” in the Grow With Me package, it would only come to $755.

I cant help but believe that it is misleading to say that the value on this deal is $1080. At $69, it’s ABSOLUTELY still a great deal for a photography package like this – it is just misleading to advertise it as 94% savings. The Groupons should show legitimate savings, not deals that just look really really good.

I purchased this package and think it’s a great deal. However, now I’m nervous as over 200 have been purchased. Katie, did you put a cap on the number of groupons to be purchased? I’m worried you’re going to be SO busy —how will you fit everyone in? I know there are 18 months to redeem, but how many sessions do you usually do in a year? Other professionals I know only do a couple of shoots a week.

I would like to use this when family is in town for a wedding this spring 2010 but then would like to use for son’s HS graduation in 2011. I have to wait 18 months to get the DVD.? Also really would be interested in purchasing the whole CD. Katie, since so many people want this CD any deals to be made on it?

Wow! Megan that really makes sense! It sounds like a great deal but once added up not so much. So all you really get is 1 VIDEO DVD (which you can’t print from) and 3 5×7′s? For $69 If it were FULL price that would be insane! Who would pay that for only these items?? I’m confused…

Ok i just looked at the site… this is a very misleading deal… but I have been happy with all the other Groupns I’ve seen… I think I rather do the side deal for the Spa it’s only $50…

I agree with Becki, this deal is very misleading. A single digital print costs $95… So from 3 photo sessions, I’d choose at least 10 photos, and that’s nearly $1000. No thanks!

I understand your concern, my digital files are more expensive because I deal mostly in prints, which are quite a bit cheaper ( I have listed my print prices above) Also, because you are getting a “negative” when you purchase a digital file, they need to be a little more expensive than the prints, because of course you will be making many duplicates per file. If people want more than a couple digital images, then I always make some kind of deal, depending on what they want. One other thing to consider, is that you are getting THREE separate photo sessions that usually run $250 a session for the sitting fee (in addition to the 3 5 × 7′s and a dvd) So you are basically getting 3 complete sessions, and prints, and a DVD, for a little over the cost of one 5 × 7, so even if you bought nothing else and only used one session, it’s still a pretty great deal. . . but I do realize it’s not for everyone. I checked out your gallery, as I was most interested in your photos of children and pets. We have a 3 year old niece we would love to get photos with (and of). A second shoot would be with me, my husband and our 2 Maine Coon cats which we would love to get a “family” portrait with. One of our cats is very outgoing, the other very skittish and shy. I live in Lone Tree. Do you have locations in or around Lone Tree so we would not have to take the kitties too far? Also, do you recommend that kitties be slightly medicated to get a good photo?
