It would take more than 30,456,890 12" pizzas to create a mozzarella-covered bridge to the moon. Lay down the first melty stepping stone with today's Groupon. For $10, you'll get $25 worth of award-winning pizzas, appetizers, calzones, sandwiches, drinks, and other noshables at Legends of Aurora.
The family-owned operation has been serving delicious grub with a side of sports since 1990. Twenty-nine televisions, liberally distributed and tuned to myriad sporting events, simulate stadium excitement. The menu features a roster of familiar fare: chicken wings slathered in Jamaican jerk, whiskey barbecue, or hot sauce ($7.99), fried mushrooms ($6.99), and steamy pizza rolls ($7.89). Award-winning pizzas include the cognitively dissonant Philly cheesesteak pie ($14.99 for a small) and a sauce-free white drenched in olive oil, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper ($11.49 for small). Sample varieties by the slice, starting at $2.19 for a thin crust, or opt instead for burgers, calzones, or sandwiches. While Aurora prominently features the legends of sports-accompanying foods, it also offers savory underdogs such as the avocado mandarin salad with grilled chicken breast, avocado, and mandarin orange ($8.79) and classic spaghetti and meatballs with soup or salad and garlic bread ($10.99).
Legends of Aurora attracts a diverse clientele of regulars, pizza enthusiasts, and sports nuts. Famous for its friendly staff and weekly events (bingo, poker, karaoke), this laid-back snacking station is a tasty alternative to scalpers' ticket prices and long lines for the bathroom. Challenge friends to a game of pool, lounge on the outdoor patio, or catch the big game.

- We frequent Legends especially on Sundays for the cheap drinks and good limited happy hour menu. The owner always seems to be around and most of the servers are quick and pleasant. – myalah, Citysearch
- ...the servers are great, the owners son Steve makes each visit special and personal. – rouse5, Citysearch
Groupon Says
Louisiana Sports
Legends of Aurora is the real sportsman's paradise, despite what Louisiana says. The state's newly invented "sports" are clearly an attempt to retain its status as "the sportsman's paradise" and are proof it's no longer deserved. Here is a list of some of these sporting failures:
- Operation Gumbo Drop: Giggling teenagers attempt to drop gumbo onto unsuspecting tourists. Scoring is subjective.
- Louisiana Ball: A game where the objective is to score points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. The ball can be advanced by carrying it (a running play) or by throwing it to a teammate (a passing play). Points can be scored in a variety of ways, including carrying the ball over the opponent's goal line, catching a pass thrown over that goal line, kicking the ball through the goal posts at the opponent's end zone, or tackling an opposing ball carrier within his end zone. The winner is the team with the most points when the time expires.
- Swamp Stinkin': This is extremely terrible and should not be inquired about.
