Questions and Answers

If I have a herniated disk in my back, between the L4 -L5, would Rolfing still be an option or could this make the situation worst? 2nd question, is this similar to Airrosti?

Skilled Rolfing should not make your back problems worse, but should actually help to relieve undue pulls on your herniated disk, enabling quicker healing. i have not experienced Airrosti, and have only heard that some attention is given to connective tissue work and that it is done by chiropractors. From the little i heard about it is my sense that a Rolfing session provides deeper touch and for longer sessions, but this is only cursory impression.

Please explain what is done in the different hours (60/90). My understanding of Rolfing is usually 10 sessions or 12 with the advanced. So would you need to continue to get the full effect of Rolfing. If is doing a particular issue, would it throw off the rest of your body resulting of the need to continue or the results be temporary because the rest of your body is off balanced if you decide to stop. Thank you

you have asked an insightful question. simply put, a single 60" minute session still provides a more balanced body, albeit, of course, not with the same results of having several hours of Rolfing. Typically, most people need about ten 1&1/2 sessions to have their body Rolfed once. Even after ten sessions there is usually more Rolfing that can be done, but ten is about the average for most people to get through all parts of the body once. I have Rolfed some people far more than the traditional ten sessions and some people have found what they needed in fewer sessions than ten. The one hour session offered here through Groupon will definetely give you results, and I will be sure that you don't leave less balance, and you will a much greater experiential sense of what's possible with more sessions.
