Sonographers grant expectant parents a brief glimpse into the womb via 3-D and 4-D ultrasound technology. Although not to be mistaken as an alternative for regular doctor visits, these nondiagnostic sessions can generate a 3-D image of your baby’s face, fingers, toes and in-utero rounds of “Where is Thumbkin?” Using the same technologies as 2-D methods, 3-D ultrasounds send out multiple audio frequencies and compile the results into a 3-D image. The 4-D method takes this one step further and adds in motion. Staff sets the DVD to lullaby music or music of your choice, brought in on a CD. Buyers also receive a discount on a return visit. Clients who bring in a pack of diapers and wipes for a new mom in need will receive an additional free CD or DVD.

Little Life Imaging

Though only elective, non-diagnostic ultrasounds are performed at Little Life Imaging, they are performed by licensed OBGYN diagnostic sonographers. These technicians have worked at local doctors' offices and medical facilities, using the same medical-imaging equipment found in prestigious prenatal centers and children’s hospitals. In addition to completing the 2-D, 3-D, and 4-D ultrasounds, the technicians can record the baby's heartbeat and transfer the sonogram to a commemorative DVD and CD.

The facility boasts clean, welcoming treatment rooms and a play area for kids. The space also hosts showers where the baby appears on the screen as the guest of honor, and parties to announce the baby's gender or innate ability to do the Macarena.
