Little Ray's Reptile Zoo

The most extensive reptile zoo and rescue facility in eastern Ontario, Little Ray's Reptile Zoo is a grand hotel for cold-blooded critters overseen by animal enthusiasts Paul "Little Ray" Goulet and his wife Sheri Goulet. Born from the joy Little Ray experienced sharing his personal collection of reptiles with school children, the zoo now encompasses a variety of exhibits and daily feeding demonstrations showcasing more than 150 tenants. The Goulets' expert staff—which has trained keepers at other animal facilities on proper husbandry and correct presentation—safely introduces visitors to the tenants which include 500-pound alligators, giant snakes, and monkeys. Each day corporate groups, birthday parties, and everyday animal lovers tour the reptile environs and educational displays. A recent large-scale renovation has increased public access to the building, putting in place improvements that include large private-function rooms, special animal exhibit spaces for attractions about animals of the rainforests, and a jungle spa where pythons receive hydrating wraps to combat scaly skin.

The Groupon Guide to: Remaining Calm

Life is full of stressful situations that challenge our ability to remain calm. Whether you're in the middle of a heated debate or being chased by a gaggle of exes, use these techniques to remain even-tempered:

Take a Deep Breath: Feeling air slowly enter and leave your lungs will remind you that nothing really matters because we are all just balloons that move air around.

Count to 10: Ten is the most calming number because when turned sideways it looks like a thin man sleeping on a big, round rock. He's freer than any of us.

Think about Something Positive: You'll feel better if you imagine something peaceful such as a smiling child, a clear blue sky, or a horse playfully biting his master's hand.

Repeat a Positive Mantra: Many people are soothed by chanting "this too shall pass," and others like to repeat "I'm the one in charge, I sail my own barge."

Which number looks like a free man? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
