  • $80 for a BYOB jewelry-making class for four (a $180 value)

During 90-minute jewelry-making classes, students learn the techniques needed to create a piece out of fused glass, beading, or wire wrapping. They'll craft a pendant out of bits of raw glass blended together, string beads to make wearable artwork, or twist wire until it cages an object to form a distinct accessory. One person can use the two-person option by either attending two classes or making two pieces in one class.

Liz Daly Designs

"I am obsessed with glass," Liz Daly-Korybski states matter-of-factly, explaining the reason behind opening her titular studio. The celebrated designer whips up inimitable pieces using techniques such as fusion and slumping, painstakingly layering raw pieces before cutting, firing, polishing, and sculpting the creations into jewelry. Inspired by colors and endless creative possibilities, she currently designs 73 product lines in the form of vintage headbands and watches, bracelets, and sushi plates.

The Groupon Guide to: a Unique Wedding

Your wedding should be a reflection of every aspect of your personality and a definitive way to prove to your cousins that you are interesting. Here are some suggestions for making your wedding an original, spectacular, lovetastic journey:

  • Mason jars instead of champagne flutes

  • You're not the kind of person who would want a cake like everyone else's, so make the cake out of grilled steaks and have the frosting be mashed potatoes.

  • You won't want gifts, so just have a station where people can write short works of magical realist fiction about you and your fiancé.

  • Instead of a ring bearer, use a trained miniature horse. He hands out pamphlets about a charity working to save a rare breed of sparrows that are going extinct on Georgia farms.

  • Tables are boring, but piles of freshly cut firewood aren't.

  • Replace the guests with glass orbs full of water and rose petals. Replace your fiancé with a scarecrow made of your mom's vintage scarves.

Where is the best local farm to find a ring bearer?
