Choose from Three Options

  • $35 for one month of women's boot camp (a $199 value)
  • $55 for two months of women's boot camp (a $398 value)
  • $75 for three months of women's boot camp (a $597 value)

Women build stronger, slimmer physiques during highly varied one-hour workouts held three times a week. Students work at their own paces while a certified fitness trainer leads outdoor exercises such as circuit training, jumping rope, and maneuvering over obstacles. The program also includes nutritional counseling and a before-and-after assessment to gauge progress.

Classes meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Pan Pacific Park, and at 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. at Burns Park. At registration, clients will choose their preferred time and location from the schedule. The 5:30 a.m. class has limited availability. Each participant should bring an exercise mat, a set of small hand weights, and water.

Los Angeles Adventure Boot Camp

Arek Long was not supposed to become a nationally accredited personal trainer or an Ironman triathlete. Long was born with multiple heart defects, and doctors told his parents that he would be chronically ill and unable to withstand strenuous exercise. But the health enthusiast proved them wrong, and continues to do so on a daily basis. Long became the captain of his university's cycling team and went on to earn a master's degree in exercise and sports science. He has been working as a strength-and-conditioning expert, group instructor, and personal trainer ever since.

At Los Angeles Adventure Boot Camp, Long and his team help his students overcome their own obstacles—literally and figuratively. Their specialized boot-camp method incorporates exercises such as strength training, kickboxing, and yoga into outdoor workouts. The all-female program is designed to boost women's self-confidence and facilitate practical results, such as fitting into a wedding dress or a secretly hollow wedding cake.

The Groupon Guide to: Your Dream Body

If you find yourself with hours and hours of free time every day, spend it productively—by thinking about or drawing your dream body. Here are some things that belong on the perfect you:

  • Long, flowing hair
  • Long, flowing foot hair, so you can donate regularly to a wig shop without cutting your head hair
  • Two noses: one for smelling and one for eating small foods
  • Edible, beef-flavored tongue
  • Legs and arms switched
  • Fingers that somehow aren't as disgusting as normal human fingers. Maybe they don't have knuckles, or each finger has a diamond-shaped tip. Anything to make them less disgusting.
  • Entirely sword-resistant

If your nose had teeth, would you stop using your mouth to eat?
