Questions and Answers

Is there weight limit, how much can a person weigh to be able to ride the horse? I'm an adult interested in the three lessons..

Sharon, the short answer is a horse may carry up to 20% of it's body weight easily and safely. Our average horse weighs between 1200 and 1500 pounds so you'd be looking at a safe weight to be in the 240 to 300 pound range. I am personally in the 250 range and haven't had any issues (other than just trying to stay on the horse). There are other factors as well such as your height, how well you carry your weight, your level of athleticism, etc. You are more than welcome to come out and visit our facility and speak with one of our instructors if you still have concerns. Thanks, Cal (502)477-0830
