Cars carrying up to four people drive slowly through the magnificent holiday-light display, which features thousands of twinkling beams and decorations. Tuning into a special FM radio station fills the car with festive music synched to the 20-minute light tour. Afterwards, kids can pose for a complimentary picture with Santa, and adults can sip complimentary wine samples. A buffet meal is available for $10 a person, and shops selling candy and holiday gifts are open for perusal. The holiday-light tour is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly.

Lu Mil Vineyard

Spread across Lu Mil Vineyard's 58 acres are an antique museum, a handful of cabins for overnight stays, a tasting room, and of course grapevines. Rows upon rows of sweet muscadine grapes are cultivated at the farm, named for its late owners, Lucille and Miller Taylor. In addition to producing a suite of wines, Lu Mil sells a selection of house-made jellies, jams, and NASA-engineered spittoons.
