Lucky's Lanes separates itself from everyday alleys by hosting candlepin bowling, a New England creation that puts a subtle spin on the beloved sport. Unlike standard 10-pin bowling, candlepin bowling challenges players to knock down thinner pins using a smaller, lighter ball without finger holes for gripping. To compensate for the harder-to-hit targets, players get three shots to send all 10 pins flying and unlimited time to try to talk one pin into turning against its brethren. The sport does share some similarities to standard bowling, since players still have to wear bowling shoes and can't pass the foul line. Lucky's Lanes enhances games with glow bowling at select times and a snack counter that doles out pizza, soda, beer, and wine.
