Legendary entertainers Kenan and Kel made theatrical history when they broke down the fourth wall, and then, to the consternation of the set designer, broke down the second and third walls as well. Experience the magic of the stage with today's Groupon for The Lyric Stage Company of Boston in Copley Square. Choose from three options:

For more than 35 years, The Lyric Stage Company of Boston has been mining tears and guffaws from audiences with an eclectic lineup of classics and contemporary works. Every year, 40,000 drama junkies, including 2,000 season-ticket holders, flock to the theater’s intimate performance space, where no seat is more than 35 feet from the stage to facilitate quick and easy group hugs between audience and cast.

The endearing screwballs of the madcap musical Animal Crackers, an adaptation of the Marx Brothers' Broadway hit and beloved film, wisecrack and warble their way through a hunt for an art thief at a ritzy house party. The production is helmed by Lyric Stage Company artistic director Spiro Veloudos, whose theatrical prowess and commitment to nonrobot stagecraft have earned him numerous honors, including the 2006 Elliot Norton Award for Sustained Excellence.

An adaptation of Chaim Potok's acclaimed novel, My Name Is Asher Lev recounts the tale of a gifted young Jewish painter torn between his artistic passions and his postwar Brooklyn religious community. Young playwright Nathan Louis Jackson's Broke-ology also probes familial dilemma, this time through a tale of two brothers drawn back to their inner-city home when their father is diagnosed with a serious illness.
