Mushers reserve the right to change, reschedule or cancel activities/itineraries based on weather. Must be 12 or older for Tiki Torch Trail option. Must be 13 or older to drive sled. Children under 16 with tickets must be accompanied on tour by an adult. Children between 13-16 must receive permission from head guide to drive sled. Not valid with any other offers.

Some activities are only possible after snowfall, such as building a snowman or assuring a snowman he won’t be single forever. Celebrate snow with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $30 for a Just a Smidge dogsledding tour for one child aged 4–11 (a $60 value)
  • $125 for a Just a Smidge dogsledding tour for one adult aged 12 or older (a $250 value)
  • $120 for a Tiki Torch Trails dogsledding tour for one adult aged 12 or older (a $240 value)

After a 20-minute tutorial, two Just a Smidge participants harness and hook up their six-husky team before riding on their sled. They spend the rest of their session—about 75 minutes—exploring trails and taking turns driving before returning their team and treating each dog to snacks and soup-water. The tours are available on Fridays and Saturdays from January 11 to March 9 at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m.

A 15-minute tutorial begins 60-minute Tiki Torch Trails sessions, though teams are harnessed and hooked up before guests arrive. Visitors then travel along trails lit by moonlight and tiki torches lining each path. The tours are available on Fridays from January 10 to March 7 at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

MUSHERS Dog-Sled Tours

Many daughters inherit looks or personality from their mothers; Jennifer inherited 25 siberian huskies. Since receiving a government small-business loan on her 20th birthday, the young entrepreneur has channelled her passion for her pups and sledding into MUSHERS Dog-Sled Tours. Made up primarily of siberian huskies, Jennifer’s teams whisk visitors away on handcrafted freight sleds during treks across more than 80 acres of woodland trails.

After a brief tutorial, visitors can hop onto preharnessed teams for short jaunts or learn how to harness and hook up their own teams. Excursions cross a variety of terrain, from nighttime trails lit by tiki torches to challenging trips that cross barren ponds, frozen rivers, and shark-infested puddles. Those seeking more of a physical challenge can take an overnight camping trip with the dogs, and school groups can enroll in three-day programs that combine hands-on activities such as dog sledding and snowshoe hikes. Once their trips come to an end, visitors can reward the dogs with a tasty treat and bowl of water, or meet one of the pups MUSHERS’ currently has up for adoption.
