During Mad Science summer camps, kids aged 6–11 engage their noggins while having fun for three hours a day as dedicated, fun-loving instructors broaden their minds with exciting experiments. The Super-Duper Science Sampler camp enlightens students with a different branch of scientific exploration each day. Little learners will construct catapults, stir up heady potions, and build a giant geodesic dome.

Campers who embark on a NASA Journey into Outer Space will explore the universe and discover the challenges of being an astronaut and the four forces of flight before creating their own constellation. They also participate in a model rocket launch.

Mad Science’s other camps hone in on more specialized knowledge. During the Red Hot Robots camp, kids learn about the practical uses of robots, along with the science behind circuitry, so they can build their very own bot to take home with them. An extra $30 fee for supplies is required for this camp.

Mad Science

Mad Science’s highly trained instructors strive to ignite scientific curiosity in young learners, eschewing dry lectures for engaging hands-on activities, experiments, and games. Their professional, age-appropriate syllabi—which meet national- and state-science-curriculum standards—broaden educational horizons during afterschool programs, in-class workshops, summer camps, and preschool programs, cleverly disguising the fundamentals of scientific exploration within interactive experiments. As the junior scientists get down to business with oodles of hands-on experiments, the instructors teach them the safe and proper use of their equipment. Mad Science also hosts special events and birthday parties—which earned it the Parents Connect Parents' Picks 2009 Best Party Entertainer award—that open little eyes to scientific concepts with on-location experiments, hovercraft rides, or a freshly cloned woolly mammoth.
