Choose from Four Options

  • $49 for one 60-minute Swedish or deep-tissue massage (a $119 value)
  • $69 for one 90-minute Swedish, deep-tissue, or hot-stone massage (a $159 value)
  • $139 for three 60-minute Swedish or deep-tissue massages (a $357 value)
  • $169 for three 90-minute Swedish, deep-tissue, or hot-stone massages (a $477 value)

Swedish and deep-tissue massages relieve stress and stimulate circulation with varying degrees of pressure. During hot-stone massages, heated pebbles placed along the back loosen muscles, thus making them more susceptible to the therapist’s strokes.

Magdalen's Pure Skin Care

Owner Magdalen Lagergren was born in Nairobi, where her Kenyan name is Karugi Karanja, which means "little cook.” This name turned out to be prophetic: as a child, Magdalen made her own facial creams and masks from local fruits and vegetables. As an adult in the United States, she fostered her passion for skincare with formal training at Yvonne de Vilar Scientific Skin Care in Vienna, Virginia, and after graduating in 2004, she earned her aesthetics license and immediately went to work at local spas.

Today, at her own practice, Magdalen takes point guiding a staff of two licensed aestheticians to soothe skin with specialized facials and perform microdermabrasion, waxing, and body services with Dermalogica and Vivant skincare products. Four licensed massage therapists draw on a variety of techniques to ease specific aches and pains or combine them all in an attempt to create Voltron.

The Groupon Guide to: Where Babies Come From

Having “the talk” with your child can be awkward—especially if your child is still too young to understand the nuances of human reproduction or, worse, is a giggler. Postpone the difficult conversation a few more months with one of these classic explanations about where babies come from:

  • Babies are dropped down the chimney by storks who swoop down and steal them from other families.
  • Babies are hatched from the cabbage patch, so if you think about it, eating vegetables is essentially cannibalism.
  • Babies are assembled at the hospital and wrapped tightly in a blanket until all the glue is dry.
  • When a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, their psychic harmonics produce an cytoplasmic egg that must be kept in a dark closet for nine months.
  • Babies are an invention of the celebrity-obsessed media to sell magazine covers of pregnant starlets.

Is it time to tell your kids the truth about where babies come from? Learn how with today's Groupon Guide.
