Questions and Answers
I am new to Groupon and got in on today’s deal. I was hoping to use the Groupon for Malee’s this evening. Is there any hope I’ll receive it soon?

Hey Dean, Groupons are typically delivered to your email inbox the next business day.
Are you required to spend the entire $40 at one visit?
Yes. It is one time use. Bring a friend and enjoy.
This is my first time on the site and its one of my favorite places to eat! I am so excited!
Is this an offer that I can buy tomorrow or do I have to buy today?
There are only 16 offers left to buy so i think you should buy it asap.
How can you tell how many offers are left? BTW, I did buy:)
It’s sold out now :).
I bought this two days ago but have not received the coupon in my e-mail. This is my first try to Groupon – hope it’s not a scam!

Maylees is the best Thai resturant in the valley! This is such a great deal I bought 2.
Thanks groupon.
This is my first time using Groupon too. So all i have to do is go there and spend $40? I don’t have to pay for anything else (except if i order over $40) right? Thanks much.
So anyone know?
I’m new to Groupon and bought the Malee’s deal as a way to try out a restaurant that we had never been to before. We just used it this weekend. The food was great but we had a huge problem with using our Groupon. We presented it to the server immediately when we sat down (like it says), even before looking at a menu. When the server came back to take our order he said that their bottles of wine were half price and talked us into getting a bottle even though only 2 of the 4 of us wanted wine.
When the bill came not only was the $40 Groupon not taken off the bill but they had put 2 drinks on our bill that weren’t ours. When we mentioned this, the server ran our bill again, taking off the Groupon amount but leaving on the 2 drinks and then the wine that suddenly went up to full price. We pointed this out again and while they took off the 2 drinks finally that weren’t ours (they were from the table next to ours) they said we could not get both the Groupon and the hald price bottle as they said this counted as 2 coupons. We explained that we didn’t realize their half price wine was a promotion that would void Groupon and that we would never have ordered a full bottle of wine if the server didn’t market it to us (it wasn’t listed on sale on the menu) and that they were the ones that talked us into it after we clearly presented the Groupon. The server got the female hostess who came to the table and was incredibly rude and told us that we “better learn our responsibilities as a customer” and then contradicted herself by acting like they were annoyed they were getting so many Groupon customers yet claiming the server didn’t know that the wine offer could not be used with a Groupon code. If they had been getting “so many Groupons” then why wasn’t the staff trained to know not to offer a special price on wine?
Her hostile tone continued to the point of total rudeness. She basically said we could pick to either save $18 off the bill for the wine OR use our $40 Groupon, so did not offer us anything at all and did not take any responsibility for their error and the multiple issues with incorrect items on our bill. It escalated until my husband lost his temper. They theny threw our credit card back at us and said that they didn’t want our money. It was so shocking and unprofessional that I can hosestly say I have never been treated that poorly at any restaurant or retail establishment in my life.
Up until this point the meal was great and we were celebrating a dinner with close family before they left town for the holidays. The female hostess was so incredibly rude to us that people next to our table were shocked and said they knew the owner and would tell him. And this was all over a $18 discount on a $37 bottle of wine. We would have tipped very well and made it well worth their effort if they would have only taken care of their mistake instead of treating us so rudely.
We were a fist time customer and would have come back many, many more times as we just moved into a house that is very close to the restaurant. We would have told many people to go here. Now we will tell people to stay far away. We are also very leary about ordering any more Groupons if restaurants treat you this poorly (i.e. annoyed they have to deal with another coupon person) instead of being happy that you are there only because of this offer, realizing you would not even be there without this kind of marketing.
We told them that we were new customers/new to the area the moment we arrived and explained later that they should have never even told us to get the 1/2 price bottle of wine if we didn’t qualify for it as well as using the Groupon. And this was all after they put someone elses’ drinks on our tab and mis ran the bill multiple times.
Truly unbelievable and really unfortunate. I hope the owners read this as they do have a great atmosphere and food…just need to hire better people that understand how to take care of customers.

I would go to Malee’s without a groupon, but when I saw the deal I had to snap several up! Every friend I’ve taken to Malee’s has become a frequent customer. I can’t resist their Tom Ga soup and Crispy Pla. To save money visiting my premier Thai place, it was a no-brainer. Thanks Groupon!
