Malingo

Taking its name from a type of Himalayan bamboo known for its diverse uses, Malingo applies the same principles of diversity to its culinary approach. Here, chefs draw upon Japanese, Nepalese, and Tibetan traditions to craft a menu that knits together far-flung Asian locales. In one meal, guests can share traditional Nepali thali platters, sip the Tibetan flat pasta soup known as Thinduk, and munch more familiar Japanese classics including bento boxes and sushi. The eatery extends its pan-Asian goodwill to its live event calendar, which boasts everything from live music to parties such as the annual Nepali New Year celebration in April.
