Choose Between Two Options

During the intro-to-sailing session, guests learn fundamentals such as marine terminology, boat parts, and sail operation, getting hands-on experience or just sitting back and enjoying their time at sea. Alternatively, the three lessons teach progressively more advanced techniques, beginning with a focus on vessel safety, harbor orientation, tacking, jibing, and casting off. The second lesson discusses points of sail and de-rigging, and the third lesson covers collision avoidance, single-handed tacking and jibing, and knot tying. Marina Sailing recommends that participants bring a bottle of water and wear nonskid, closed-toe shoes or dip their feet in liquefied rubber.
