Rebecca Wiener, a licensed massage therapist, worked as a chiropractic assistant for four years. That's where she mastered techniques ranging from isometric exercises and passive stretches to guessing the number of courses a person took in college based on the backpack impression left in their spine. At Massage District, she integrates those skills with massage-therapy techniques that span from traditional Swedish strokes to gua sha, a lesser-known Eastern modality that uses the palpations of a rounded instrument to stimulate blood flow.
