Reiki is a form of japanese energy work that strives to balance the body’s energy system and trigger natural healing processes. Other massage treatments use a variety of techniques to address problems such as fatigue, sore muscles, and joint pain.

When licensed massage therapist Eric McFerin isn’t teaching massage therapy at Heritage College, he’s performing it at Massage Therapy by Eric McFerin. At his practice, he specializes in multiple modalities that range from Swedish and deep-tissue massage to trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, and reiki—a Japanese form of energy healing. Also a former NCAA swimmer, Eric draws on his extensive athletic knowledge to perform sports massage and help increase performance through rock tape application.
