Scuba diving is the only way left to find hidden treasure, befriend a nautical skeleton, or strap a huge tank to yourself. Explore the possibilities with today's Groupon: for $15, you get one Discover Scuba Diving intro class (a $95 value with tax) at Maximum Scuba's Houston and Seabrook locations.

Maximum Scuba's expert staff of diving instructors instills in students the ability to navigate waters with the ease of an aquatic taxi driver through a host of scuba courses. A two-hour Discover Scuba Diving introductory class will douse students with essential scuba knowledge, including how to breathe while completely submerged and other elements aqua-navigators might encounter on a typical dive.

Students 10 years and older will explore the depths of the pool, in which they can practice just-learned swimming techniques or re-create the famous Lincoln-Douglas Sea World debates. Divers who don't own their own gear can rent the appropriate equipment, which is covered in the cost of the class. Scuba instructors will also share other useful morsels of information that carry over to the full scuba-certification course, should you decide to take the next subaqueous step.

Maximum Scuba

Maximum Scuba's team of PADI-certified instructors caters to all levels of aquatic adventurer with a wide roster of name-brand equipment and all-inclusive classes. PADI open-water certification courses employ textbooks and at least four open-water dives to acquaint underwater neophytes with the joy of subaquatic breathing, enabling them to finally explore timeshare options in Atlantis. The PADI advanced open-water certification course sends previously certified divers on five adventure dives, plumbing watery depths to discover ocean-floor wrecks. Other specialty classes deepen underwater adventures and arm explorers with the know-how to defeat Blackbeard's ghost by teaching skills in spearfishing and technical or cave diving.
