Piloted by McKenzie River Mountain Resort’s dutiful drivers, shuttles ferry bikers and their aluminum steeds to the top of their choice of trails during day-long service. After loading bikes into the vans at the front office, guests drive to the trail in their own cars, reunite with bikes for a ride to the top of the trail, and bike back down to their parking spots. Choose from the McKenzie River Trail, Lucky Boy Mine Trail, or King Castle trail for a full day of downhill riding amid pristine forestscapes and whispering wildlife. Though not included in this Groupon, rental bikes are available for wheel-less guests.

McKenzie River Mountain Resort

Nestled on six rustic acres near the convergence of the McKenzie and Blue Rivers, McKenzie River Mountain Resort’s homey waterside cabins once served as lodgings for forest rangers. Trimmed in woodsy accents, the cozy abodes feature brick fireplaces and overstuffed sofas, located a stone’s throw from seasonal forest fun. In the winter, guests can snowshoe the local woods or ski at the nearby HooDoo Mountain, and summer activities include biking, horseback riding, and hunting. A shuttle service ferries cyclists and their borrowed Nishiki or Mongoose Otero bikes to the King Castle trail, Lucky Boy Mine Trail, or McKenzie River trail, whose pathways make for picturesque downhill treks for avid cyclists or Jack-and-Jill nursery-rhyme reenactors. Additional outdoor pursuits include fishing, golf, and taking soothing dips in Terwilliger Hot Springs.
