Sierra Railroad Dinner Train

Since the 1800s passengers have boarded trains on the Sierra Railroad, which extends between the Central Valley and Gold County on a route with such an untouched feeling that it has been featured in movies from High Noon to Back to the Future Part III. Today, passengers hop aboard for romantic sunset dinners and interactive, themed rides such as a Wild-West lunch with gun-slinging outlaws or a mystery show inspired by Murder on the Orient Express. Scenic landscapes whiz by on the 5- to 16-mile route while riders enjoy meals prepared by an experienced chef.
