Chefs Robert and Mimi bring not only a combined 47 years of culinary experience to Mi Chi Bistro and Sushi, but also their personal specialties. Chef Robert prepares everything from classic sushi and sashimi to inventive omakase tastings, which feature such bites as black sea bass sashimi and sautéed shrimp drizzled with truffle butter. His kitchen partner, Mimi, has mastered Asian-fusion dishes and creative sushi rolls, which he stuffs with indulgent touches including apple, coconut, fried oyster, and torched white tuna. And while all is a flurry in the kitchen, their customers relax in a calming, wood-accented dining room decorated with bamboo artwork, Japanese screen prints, and oversized mirrors.
