In a Nutshell

Working farm welcomes families with a football-themed corn maze, antique-tractor hayrides, and barbecue meals

The Fine Print

  • Expires Oct 31, 2012
  • Valid only for option purchased. Subject to weather conditions.
  • See the rules that apply to all deals.

Finding the center of a corn maze is easy, but escaping requires patience, ingenuity, or a dog trained to track the scent of parked cars. Follow your nose to freedom with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $12 for two general farm admissions (up to a $24 value)
  • $24 for four general farm admissions (up to a $48 value)
  • $12 for a daytime season pass (a $25 value)

Fall festivities allow families to pick pumpkins, enjoy live entertainment, and take in the pastoral farmland on antique-tractor hayrides. A football-themed corn maze challenges guests to navigate winding pathways inspired by the Broncos' QB Peyton Manning and a rope maze invites children to wiggle their way to the finish. After a day of trekking through the farm, visitors can refuel with hickory-smoked turkey legs and slow-cooked brisket. The farm is open from 10 a.m. until dusk on Fridays and Sundays throughout October and on Halloween. Children aged 3 and younger receive free admission.

Mile High Farms

Mile High Farms introduces visitors to the fun side of farming, teaching children about the importance of agriculture and delighting families with seasonal activities. In the springtime, schools and youth organizations flock to the farm for lessons in harvesting, soil preparation, and dressing scarecrows in the latest designer trends. Those who awake from their summer hibernation can visit the farm in the fall to take home pumpkins and other bounties from the autumnal harvest. When the farm's trees begin to shed their leaves, families arrive to traverse a corn maze and bask in the brisk fall air on antique-tractor hayrides.

The Groupon Guide to: Inspiration

Inspiration is everywhere, if you know where to look. What are some sure-fire ways to shatter writer's block and unleash the creative torrents within?

  • Observe natural phenomena, such as a rainbow or a sheep slipping in some mud.
  • Write down everything that happens in your favorite movie, but make it about … yourself?
  • Watch the free-flowing imaginations of two children crafting a complex pretend universe—this can inspire you to comment on what a waste of time it was.
  • Put on some jazz records and listen to the notes they're not playing. These inaudible notes aren't copyrighted, and they can be yours!
  • Drink a whole thing of coffee. Even if this makes things immeasurably worse, at least you technically finished something today.

Is inspiration real? As the top science poets believe, yes.
