Brush wielders choose from a stock of more than 1,500 blank ceramic items––including mugs ($14–$17), spoon rests ($18), and animal figurines ($10–$18)—before decorating their selected pieces with more than 100 colors of paint, stamps, and stencils. All painting supplies are included in each session. Once pieces are completed, each masterwork is fired in a kiln and will be ready for pickup within a week.

Every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. is Adult Night, where of-age painters can sip on brought wine and socialize as they glide brushstrokes across blank ceramic pieces.

Mimi’s Crafts

When Mimi’s Crafts was founded in 1995, two dreams were fulfilled: Mimi turned her hobby of molding clay and painting ceramics into a full-time business, and her husband got his garage back. The walls of Mimi’s studio flaunt more than 1,500 blank ceramics, the vast majority of which were made in store. During pottery-painting sessions, visitors let their artistic instincts run wild as they daub figurines with scintillating paints, before their completed designs are immortalized in a fiery kiln. The studio’s experts stay on hand to offer helpful tips on stenciling, arranging color combinations, and forging Michelangelo’s signature. Aside from pottery-painting sessions, Mimi’s Crafts also hosts classes in the arts of glass fusing, clay molding, and acrylic painting.
