is there an initial appointment reguired and is there an additional cost associated with that; how long has the podiatrist been performing this laser treatment and what type of laser is used during the process; if more treatments are needed than the original three for ten toes, is it at the same Groupon price; lastly, what is the succes rate for fungal erradication by this podiatrist and his laser method....thank you....charles

Thanks for your questions. There is not an additional office fee required to use the Groupon.

For best results, they suggest 2 additional types of treatment in addition to the laser toenail fungus removal. The first recommendation is a topical medication to be applied twice daily to the nail, which runs $40.00 per bottle. They recommend doing this for a full year. You will go through about 2-3 bottles in that year. The other recommended component is a shoe sterilizer. It kills the fungus and bacteria in the shoe so it does not re-infect the nails. This runs $130.00. With the laser plus those components they have had great results from all of their patients for the past few years. People who have just done the laser treatments have also received great results, but for the best results possible they recommend combining the laser with the other 2 suggested treatments.

If you have not achieved your desired results after 9-12 months, additional treatments would be charged at the regular rate.
