The deal leads me to believe I am paying for one inspection anytime remaining in 2012 and one inspection anytime in 2013. However, fine print says the expiration is August 30, 2013. Since my vehicle inspection doesn't come due until December, it seems the August 30, 2013 expiration date would render the "voucher for free inspection for next year" totally useless for me? Please specifiy expiration date of the "voucher for free inspection for next year". Deal terms are vague and confusing.

You only have to use the paid for inspection by the expiration, you free inspection for the following year will still be valid.

i know how car dealerships get brought and sold and so on ... ( I had free oil changes for life at a dealership on my new car... well that was until it got sold and renamed... 8 months later ) What happens when or if this happens?

The offer is for North Carolina State Inspection, all makes of gasoline vehicles. So, yes and type of car or truck is fine.
