Moki's Hawaiian Grill
Though no ocean is in sight, Masa Tukuafu strives to create an island ambience in his restaurant, Moki's Hawaiian Grill. The spirit of aloha permeates the menu, with traditional mixed plates of kalua pork, teriyaki beef, and chicken katsu highlighting the Asian influences on Hawaiian cuisine. Sauces, such as the loco-moco's brown gravy or the tangy katsu sauce, are made from scratch in house. Every warm weather-themed eatery needs its cold refreshments, and Masa's menu boasts shakes to satisfy that mandate—they blend tropical fruits such as coconut and guava. From time to time hula and fire dancers even stop in to entertain guests. Their stage is a room trimmed in Hawaiian textiles, bamboo, and panda bears requesting more sauce on their bamboo.
