It's common practice to shake hands upon meeting new people so that you can hold down their dominant hand while your partner takes their wallet. Snatch a new look for your hands with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $28 for a Luxury or green-tea-and-mint manicure and pedicure (up to a $70 value)
  • $28 for two Shellac manicures (a $56 value)
  • $33 for a Shellac manicure and pedicure (a $66 value)

During the Luxury manicure, a technician scrubs hands and arms with an exfoliating salt, applies a body cream, and seals in moisture with hot towels. Then she reshapes nails and cuticles. The pedicure involves the above steps, plus a foot soak and callus-buffing treatment. Finally, a technician paints fingernails and toes with polish. Green-tea-and-mint mani-pedis include the same services, with the addition of a mud treatment infused with green tea and mint. Shellac services include a quick-drying gel layer that helps polish remain chip-free for up to 14 days.

Mona Lisa's Massage & Wellness

A few wisps of smoke from an extinguished candle hang in the air, along with the lingering fragrance of aromatic oils and the soft strains of jazz or nature sounds. One of the licensed massage therapists at Mona Lisa's Massage & Wellness has completed another relaxing session, easing muscle tension and stress with modalities such as hot-stone therapy, pregnancy or sports massage, or reflexology. The center's practitioners operate in an intimate and tranquil four-room suite complete with a mani-pedi station. In the couples room, pairs enjoying a Yin + Yang massage nosh on chocolate-covered strawberries and discuss how to install electric handlebar warmers on a tandem bike. The crew exfoliates skin with coconut-lime-scented scrubs and detoxifies bodies with wraps that include a session in the steam sauna. They also aim to clear complexions with 10 different anti-aging facial treatments and peels.

The Groupon Guide to: International Sports Competition Opening Ceremony

Every four years athletes from around the world gather to compete in whatever country has the most corporate sponsors and enough resources to recycle all of the bottles of power juice that athletes drink. Regardless of where it takes place, here’s what you can expect to see during the event's opening ceremony:

  • Elderly athlete lighting a tree on fire to signify that plants can never be athletes

  • Child representatives from every country marching into the arena to the sound of their country's official brass instrument

  • Colored lights that spell out "LOSING IS BAD FOR COUNTRIES"

  • The athletes enter, wearing only body paint in their country's colors. After they start to sweat, any athlete whose body paint does not melt together into a greenish brown is awarded five bonus points for his or her country.

  • The Happy Waving Man (official International Sports Competition mascot) comes out wearing overalls and leads everyone in chanting the official International Sports Competition slogan: "This competition is for us. This is our day. No time for water breaks, only for play."

Can some plants play sports?
