Regarding the second general admission ticket, is there an expiration date? If so, what is it? Also, if for some reason we can't make it to the Candlelight Tour, does that void our general admission ticket? Thanks!

With this being a special tour (not a day time admission), will it still last three hours....8:30-11:30pm? Is it only a tour of the mansion because it's at night or also the grounds?

If we would also like to watch the orientation film, what is the last showing time each day? (I understand that it would involve separate daytime admission.) Is it correct that the estate closes at 4 (per http://www.mountvernon.org/more/directions) and the earliest candlelight tour is after 6pm -- so we would have to leave the estate for those hours in between? Or is it possible to visit during the day and stay through evening for a scheduled candelight tour?

What is this?: "Must redeem general admission ticket during return visit." Ar?e you saying that when I purchase this I can't tour the grounds during the day and then take the candlelight tour? Are the conditions of this offer such that you take the candlelight tour one night - then you can come back another day prior to the expiration dateate

Thank you for your interest in Mount Vernon Estate, Gardens and Museum. You are welcome to come for a daytime visit on the same day as your Candlelight tour. We are encouraging visitors to come for a return visit because the Estate closes at 4 pm for regular visits and the times available for entrance to Mount Vernon by Candlelight are much later. Entrance for Candlelight Tours will start at the time on your ticket. If you choose to come on the same day, only the Education Center, the Food Court and the Gift Shop will be open after 5 pm.
