Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort

Varied terrain, breathtaking panoramic views, and 430 average inches of annual snowfall make Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort a destination for anyone ready to rollick in fresh powder. The mountain’s slopes hold enough acreage to keep skis busy for days—from gentle beginner runs to gated-access double-black-diamond terrain. Paths flanked by evergreens and cliff outcroppings keep even the most advanced snow bunnies on their toes, but most of the gradients are gentle enough for beginner and intermediate cruisers. The resort also features 140 acres of night skiing runs and up to 15 kilometers of groomed and set track along the nordic center’s scenic wooded trails and meadows. Snowboarders perfect their jumps and spins in six freestyle terrain parks with a 500-foot-long, in-ground SuperPipe, or guests who have never worn skis or are only accustomed to speeding downhill while being chased by a scorned paperboy might opt for a professional lesson.

After a long day on the slopes, visitors refuel at 10 onsite restaurants and bars. The fireplace-warmed lodge offers convenient daycare services with age-appropriate toys, computers, and arts and crafts.
