A winter storm has many upsides: snow days, skiing, and the chance to follow deer back to the tree where they roost. Experience some winter magic with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $34.50 for an all-day lift ticket on Saturday, March 23, or Sunday, March 24 (a $69 value)
  • $43.50 for an all-day lift ticket on Saturday, March 23, and access to a barbecue buffet (an $87 value)

On Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the slopes at Mt. Hood Skibowl will shed their preoccupation with winter and transform into a snow-covered spring-break beach for the 12th Annual Snow Beach Festival. Amid flamingos, tikis, ice sculptures, and live music, partiers can taste microbrews and spirits, ski, and check out a hot-dog-eating contest. The centerpiece of the festivities is the pond-skimming contest, where skiers and snowboarders attempt to skim across a freezing-cold pond for a chance to win prizes.

Mt. Hood Skibowl

Mt. Hood Skibowl may be known for its more than 960 skiable acres, but when the weather heats up, the spot transforms into the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl. Visitors can take advantage of its more than 20 attractions, including a half-mile dual Alpine slide, a Malibu Raceway with Indy race go-karts, a bungee-jumping tower, and a mountain-biking park. Young adventurers can zipline across the park, climb a 30-foot rock wall, and play mini golf.

For those who prefer a more relaxed way to see the park, scenic sky chairs carry them above Mt. Hood National Forest. They can stroll the interpretive walking trails at the top, bike to a picturesque lake, or head even further up on the uppermost scenic sky chairs for great views of the Cascades and any Big Foots playing chess down below.
