Each 60-minute session begins with a skin analysis, a facial cleansing, and ultrasound exfoliation. Next, the aesthetician directs the microcurrent device's tiny, subsensory bursts of electrical current toward areas including the neck, chin, mouth, and forehead. The noninvasive technology is designed to reduce wrinkles by promoting collagen production and tighten loose skin by stimulating muscle cells. The recommended number and frequency of treatments varies, based on the client's age and desired outcome.

During an interview for Wowowow that was reposted on MU Natural Beauty's website, Chilean-born Marieliz Unwin revealed that she began exploring the connection between body and psyche at an early age. She was involved with Arica, a mystical school that taught meditation and yoga and opened her eyes to the idea that everything is comprised of energy. As a teenager, Unwin studied acupuncture with a Japanese master, delving further into the realm of balancing bodily energy.
