The wheels on the bus go round and round, but hopefully the bus driver is taking a more direct route to your destination. Head straight for the Big Apple with today's Groupon: for $10, you get a ticket for a one-way bus ride from Washington D.C. to New York City from MVP Bus (a $20 value). An additional Groupon can be purchased for a one-way ticket from New York City to Washington D.C. to create roundtrip travel arrangements and lessen your chances of taking up residence as a professional Times Square street magician.

MVP Bus transports busloads of tourists, locals, and Speed fanatics on comfortable coaches taking routes from Washington D.C. to New York City with one stop in Baltimore. After checking a regular-size piece of luggage, hop aboard a cushy carriage with up to two small carryons and lounge in MVP's sumptuous surroundings, replete with personalized air conditioning and a gold-plated bus driver.

During trips patrons can pass the time by reading a gripping Dr. Seuss tale or by taking a nap in the hopes of experiencing a dream encounter with Alan Thicke. Unlike flying, MVP Bus gets patrons to destinations in a timely manner by offering direct routes and not stopping at every rest stop so the pilot can stretch. Trips are scheduled for departure several times a day and leave from 610 I Street in Washington D.C. (return trips depart from Penn Station).

The Groupon Guide to: Yard Decorations

While purchasing your first home is always something to be proud of, a front lawn devoid of ornaments and personal touches is essentially a vacant lot, attracting feral dogs and train-yard gamblers. Up your curb appeal with any of these acceptable front-yard decorations:

• Phalanx of plastic lawn flamingos
• Cement fountain of kangaroo spitting water into own pouch
• Actual tortoises making the rounds with drink trays
• Large silver orb for some reason
• Koi pond for attracting beautiful hawks
• Life-size fiberglass Mayor McCheese
• Sign inviting local high school honor students to become your child
• Someone’s cat—yours? I didn’t let him in
• Orange tree planted on the day Michael Jordan was born to remind future generations that oranges resemble basketballs
• Bird bidet
• Gargoyle that comes to life at sunset but doesn’t really have anything going on
• Strobe light, smoke machine, tunes
