After the client wears protective eye shields, a highly trained technician will move a hand piece across the affected area, targeting tattoo pigments with short bursts of laser light. Each burst lasts a fraction of a second and may be accompanied by a sensation like being snapped by a rubber band. After treatment, clients will be asked to put on a topical antibiotic cream. Most tattoos can be removed in two–ten sessions, but additional treatments may be required depending on the depth and color of the pigments.
