The tune up helps restore the minor damage and imperfections your skis have sustained due to regular wear and tear. This can include removing accumulated grime, smudges, and minor scrapes. By waxing and sharpening the skis, it helps restore the aerodynamics and ultimately prolongs the ski's life.

Ski-shop technicians will carefully tune up customers' boards (depending on what maintenance the board may need). Technicians will also wax boards and sharpen edges.
