While completing the Over the Dam Dash's 5K course, challengers belly crawl through mud pits, scurry up a rope on a 9-foot incline, and hurdle over sandbag walls. The race takes place on Saturday, April 27, with regular heats for adults starting at 8 a.m. and ending at noon, and for children, starting at 2:30 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m.

Ultimate Gladiator Dash

Five kilometers of mud stands between a pack of runners and the title of Gladiator. The Ultimate Gladiator Dash obstacle course winds through trees and hills before finally completing its loop, but the real challenge lies in the mud pits and numerous other obstacles that block the runners at every turn. Challengers must conquer 9-foot inclines, leap blindly over sandbag walls, and climb ropes unaided by the familiar shouts of “lily-livered pansy face” yelled by an elementary-school gym teacher. After vanquishing the obstacles and reaching the finish line, participants head to the after party for music and beer.
