Anglers can store their bait in their boat’s live wells and set out in search of the halibut, sand bass, white sea bass, and barracuda that flit through the harbor. Live bait can be purchased from the bait barge between May and October, and fishing equipment can be rented from Davey's Locker’s tackle shop.

Situated inside Davey’s Locker, Newport Harbor Boat Rentals also provides renters easy access to the munitions they need for a day on the water. Before heading out, anglers can rent fishing equipment and purchase tackle and a fishing license, which is otherwise only available at the underwater DMV.
