Because of the large number of ghosts they can hold, haunted trails are consistently scarier than cursed sleeping bags, possessed lean-tos, and ectoplasmic studio apartments. Witness a higher level of paranormal activity with today’s Groupon to the Nightmare on Valley Street haunted trail. Choose from the following options:
- For $12, you get two general-admission tickets (a $24 value).
- For $15, you get two VIP tickets (a $30 value).
- For $22, you get four general-admission tickets (a $48 value).
- For $32, you get six general-admission tickets (a $72 value).
Enjoying its eighth year of phantasmal production, the Nightmare on Valley Street haunted trail unnerves and entertains visitors with more than 30 ghostly scenes inhabited by no less than 40 spine-chilling denizens of the dark. Those who dare will spend a cautious half-hour navigating their way through the woods behind Stebbins High School, weaving a path past shocking scenes while warding off pursuant four-wheelers, killer clowns, and undead balloon animals. Classic movie monsters such as vampires and werewolves conjure shrieks of terror and amusement from terror traditionalists as chainsaw-wielding masked madmen stimulate the pulse with stunning topiary. General admission grants free parking, and VIP access expedites the anxiety with an express waiting line. Tortured appetites may find solace in on-site concessions, although they're not included in the price of this Groupon.
Dayton Scream Park
One fateful day 24 years ago, a group of doomed souls got lost amid the shadows of 22 acres of wooded land and were never found. Each year following that, more and more people met the same fate. Dayton Scream Park dares guests to gather their courage and walk—or run—down the haunted trail where these souls were last seen, confronting characters from horror movies and being chased by four-wheelers that were deprived of their afternoon nap. During the 30-minute adrenaline-filled adventure, participants encounter more than 30 scenes and more than 40 live monsters that will soon join their nightmares.
For wee ones and those who would rather smile than scream, Dayton Scream Park also hosts Hillbilly Hayrides that set out in the crisp autumn air, while the sun is still duct taped to the sky. In addition to free parking, the amenities include onsite concessions for fortifying the strength of those who have fainted.
