So if I buy the deal for 4 people, can all 4 eat at the same time or does the "1 per table" rule mean that only 1 of the 4 can use the deal? Does the "must purchase 1 food item" mean in addition to the coupon?

Sorry for any confusion. The option for four people, will allow four people to enjoy the meal together using one Groupon. You do not have to purchase an additional food item in order to redeem this Groupon.

If we do not drink cocktails are we allowed to use the money towards something else?
