Choose Between Two Options

  • $49 for a weekday guided whitewater-rafting adventure with a riverside barbecue lunch (a $100 value)
  • $69 for a weekend guided whitewater-rafting adventure with a riverside barbecue lunch (a $149 value)

Pile aboard a raft for this full-day guided tour of Kennebec River, whose Class III–V whitewater rapids cut through tree-studded rock gorges. Because the Harris Dam releases water into the river every day, the river experiences high water and whitewater levels daily throughout the summer. In between tackling the deep drops and large waves, guides tell tales about the history of the area.

The adventure wraps up with a barbecue lunch that you can enjoy on the picturesque banks of Kennebec River. Selections include veggie burgers or chicken, baked beans, pasta salad, a dessert, and beverages.

North American Outdoor Adventures

North American Outdoor Adventures introduces adventurers to the thrills of the great outdoors with both land and sea outings. Whitewater-rafting excursions splash through the notoriously choppy waters of the Kennebec, Deerfield, and Dead rivers. For a more laid-back experience, North American’s kayak tours, dazzle eyes with gorgeous scenery while shepherding kayakers down mild sections of the Dead and Kennebec rivers or along the calm shoreline of Moxie Pond.

Hiking trips through the Appalachian Trail can take away your breath with dazzling mountaintop views of azure rivers and Moxie Falls, the highest waterfall in Maine. Other popular types of land-based recreation include ATV tours and ballroom dancing with wild deer.
