I have to say, after having ordered from the Nutty Guys twice, I am not impressed. I feel for them, starting a new business and being over-run with Groupon orders; but if you can’t stand the heat… you know…
Anyway, on my first order, the dried organic apricots I got from them had the distinction of being the smallest, hardest, poorest quality I have ever seen.
For my second order, I had my heart set on getting some whole Macadamia nuts. They were out-of-stock on their website for many weeks, but then put back on and I was finally able to order them. Several more weeks then went by without them being shipped, although they did respond to my email query by telling me how very busy they were and aoplogizing for the delay. After nearly a month, the order finally arrived, but not really: They substituted Macadamia nuts pieces for whole nuts, with a note about demand/supply issues. To add insult to injury, the pieces had sat around so long they were starting to go rancid, and smelled foul.
They are indeed Nutty if they think I’m going to ever order from them again. But I’d be even nuttier to not warn my fellow Grouponers about these guys. Maybe if they figure out how to provide proper customer service, not just with nice words but with good actions, they’ll still be around in a couple of years for me to try again… But I’m through being their guinea pig for now.

It amazes me that Groupon keeps running deals with these people. I placed an order month’s ago for which I got someone’s else’s order. After several calls and emails I still haven’t received my order. Look on Yelp and you’ll see all of their bad feedback. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, BUYER BEWARE!

I ordered from The Nutty Guys and was BEYOND irate! Don’t bother, the product takes FOREVER to ship, and is disappointing. Customer service is so awful! Save your money, DON"T WAIST YOUR TIME!!!!!!

Hm, I was going to post asking if I could order again if I already did one Groupon deal with the Nutty Guys. (I assume I can)
I had a different experience than the above posters, I really liked my order. I got mixed nuts, raw almonds, walnuts, super nutty granola, and corn nuts.

Shipping information on web site does not seem to be correct or transparent. I’ll pass on this.

Shipping, Peter S.? They ship ONLY with Fed-Up (still old RPS contractors), so around here (Mass.) I expect a 50/50 chance of it ever arriving. :(

Wish I’d read these reviews before buying! :(

The website keeps crashing, I can’t even complete an order.

Anyone know how to use the groupon when ordering online? I’m trying and I’m afraid if I go any further it’ll charge my credit card instead of giving me a place to apply the groupon… do I have to just order by phone?

Justin .

Dana – open up your groupon via the print link and it will have a promotional code to use in the lower right corner of the first page.. then as you are going through the checkout process on the website there is a “Coupon, Voucher” box on the top right, put your code in and hit apply. Viola!

As for all the negative comments, I guess I’ve been lucky. I’m on my third or fourth order with these guys and I’ve never had a problem. Yes the shipping can be slower than you’d expect but who cares, when they come they are ready to eat. I’ve never waited a month for shipping though so I suppose that’s why it hasn’t bothered me.

In the past I’ve stuck with cashews and walnuts and a couple other things, this order I’m going with a variety of dried fruits as well as cashews and walnuts (they really are good, better than what you’d buy in the store). I don’t expect any problems with this order.

Website keeps crashing and $11 for shipping a bag of nuts makes a lousy deal.

Thomas C.

I ordered these in the past, expect at least $10 shipping cost on a $25 order.
