Bagels aren't the only breakfast food available, but they are the only one that doubles as the steering wheel of a tiny bread car. Don't do donuts with this Groupon.
$5 for $9 Worth of Bagels, Salads, and Sandwiches
The menu includes assorted kettle-boiled bagels ($1.25 each; $10.99 for a baker's dozen) in flavors such as onion, pumpernickel, and pretzel salt. Diners can also enjoy two-egg bagel sandwiches ($3.75), pastrami sandwiches ($8.95), mixed-green salads ($5.99), and a variety of flavored cream cheeses ($5.99–$7.49/pound).
NYC Bagel Deli
NYC Bagel Deli transports the taste and feel of Big Apple eateries to the Windy City streets, a calling that earned it a Boar’s Head “Deli of Distinction” title. Its three locations sell more than 1,000 bagels a day, topped with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onion, or pretzel salt, and slathered in homemade cream cheeses made on the premises. The sandwich menu’s half-pound corned beef reuben and Benny roast beef sandwich, named after the Chicago Bulls mascot, come folded between halves of bagel, slices of bread, or cross sections of a gingerbread house. The eateries’ authentic New York–style pizza, meanwhile, can sate appetites by the slice or via whole pies, with classic toppings including pepperoni, green peppers, and grilled chicken.
Uncomplicated dining experiences that won’t waste your time or budget
