O'Briens Bistro's kitchen staff toss, grill, and ladle an assortment of internationally inspired meals, each made fresh and modifiable to patrons' specifications or allergies. Patrons may start by dehydrating a cup ($3.50), bowl ($4.50), or Trapper Keeper full of O'Briens' house-made soup, such as french onion or black bean. Crunchy salads ($9.95) include the classic caesar and pecan chicken, and O'Briens appeases global craving with entrees such as mandarin duck ($19.95) and chicken tossed with spinach and feta ($17.95). Pork tenderloins ($18.95) flip across the bistro grill and onto waiting plates, and perfectly cooked racks of lamb greet taste buds with tender mint kisses ($19.95). A choice of soup, salad, or chef-autographed napkin accompanies all entrees.

O’Brien’s Bistro

In business for 13 years, O’Brien’s Bistro serves an upscale menu of seafood and grilled meats, all prepared to order by chef and owner Jim O’Brien. The chef endeavors to please all tastes with a variety of seafood dishes—including crowd favorites such as lobster-stuffed grouper and coconut fried shrimp—as well as grilled chicken, steaks and house-made soups. He’ll even modify any dish to accommodate customer requests, such as allergy restrictions or a preference for rhyming ingredients. Though the bistro is located in a strip mall, the interior offers an unexpected retreat with latticed dividers, cascading ivy, and a fluorescent fish tank.
